Principal's Message

Welcome back to a new and very different school year! This upcoming school year will definitely be like none other.

My name is Angelica Martinez, as principal at Tony E. Quintana Elementary School, I am excited and looking forward to eventually seeing all our happy faces on campus once we get through this pandemic.

The current reentry plan calls for a full remote start of the school year. In September we are anticipating a transition to a hybrid model of learning where we will have a greatly reduced number of students on the campus daily. The date for actual in person, on campus learning has not yet been determined and will be determined based on the number of COVID-19 cases. We all need to continue to do our part by wearing our masks and practicing social distancing requirements so that we can get back to our regular routines soon.

As we ended the school year with distance learning, our staff has learned many lessons in how we can better meet the needs of all learners. The entire staff has been working over the summer to gain professional knowledge and skills that will help us to roll out a new and improved way of remote learning for all students. We are going to be using Google classroom for all grade levels. Teachers will be reaching out to you in the next week to provide set up information. We all must pull together during these unusual times to be successful for our students and our community.

I look forward to working with everyone throughout the school year!

Respectfully,

Angelica Martinez
Principal
